We are extremely proud to say that all of our cat food is made right here in the United States 🇺🇸. We use farm-raised, humanely harvested quality protein primarily sourced from the US, combined with high-quality, globally sourced ingredients. Our commitment is to real meat as the first ingredient, and we absolutely never use artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. For the full transparency, you can always check the detailed list in the "Ingredients & Nutrition" tab on the product page.

Our food is certified "Complete and Balanced." This isn't just a marketing phrase—it means our food is rigorously formulated to exceed the nutrient profiles set by the AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) for all feline life stages. Essentially, it guarantees that Puckin' Crazy Chicken Feast contains every single vitamin, mineral, and nutrient your cat needs to be happy and healthy, preventing the gaps that often occur in homemade diets.

Our food contains at least 0.2% taurine on a dry matter basis — twice the AAFCO minimum requirement. Each 10-gram puck delivers about 200 mg of taurine and 35 calories, providing a strong, heart-supportive amount as part of your cat’s daily diet. As a general guideline, a 10-pound cat would eat around two pucks per meal, three times a day (about six pucks total). That means 100 calories of our food provide approximately 571 mg of taurine, which is a strong and supportive amount for overall feline health.

Taurine occurs naturally in muscle meat and organs, which is why we start with high-quality whole chicken. Our chickens are frozen shortly after harvesting to help preserve nutrients as nature intended. In addition to the taurine naturally present in the ingredients, we also supplement it — because we believe “meeting the minimum” isn’t enough.

In case you are wondering, Taurine is a very stable nutrient and is not destroyed by freezing. Because taurine is water-soluble, some can be lost when frozen meat is thawed and the juices are discarded. That is not an issue with freeze-dried food, which is preserved without the thawing and cooking processes that can contribute to nutrient loss.

We founded CatCrazy and created Puckin’ Crazy Chicken Feast with one promise: no compromises. Every ingredient is there for a reason — nothing hidden.

That belief is personal. One of Petra's cats, Zeus, was born with a complex heart condition and wasn’t expected to live past his first birthday. He’s now 14 years old — thriving and happy. We go above and beyond on something as critical as taurine.

While taurine supports overall cellular health throughout the body — including the kidneys — kidney disease in cats is typically not caused by taurine deficiency. Ensuring adequate taurine intake, however, is essential for long-term health and vitality.

No. There is often confusion between a recipe's ingredients and its guaranteed analysis.

Chicken, liver, heart, and egg can make up the overwhelming majority of a recipe, yet the finished food will not be 100% protein because animal ingredients naturally contain fat, minerals, moisture, connective tissue, vitamins, and many other nutrients—not just protein.

In other words, a dry matter protein value of 43.5% does not mean the food is only 43.5% meat. That's a common misconception.

Think of it this way: a chicken breast is unquestionably an animal-based food, but it is not 100% protein. It also contains water, fat, vitamins, minerals, and other naturally occurring nutrients. The same principle applies to cat food.

That's why ingredient composition and nutrient analysis are two different measurements. One tells you what ingredients make up the recipe, while the other tells you how much protein, fat, fiber, moisture, and other nutrients are present in the finished food.

Puckin' Crazy Chicken Feast is built around animal ingredients—including chicken with bone, chicken liver, chicken heart, and egg—which form the foundation of the recipe. The guaranteed analysis reflects the nutrient content of the finished product, not the percentage of meat ingredients in the formula.

While we cannot make medical claims or say that our food is specifically formulated for IBD cats, some customers with sensitive-stomach or IBD-prone cats have told us their cats do very well on our recipe because it is:

  • high in animal protein,
  • minimally processed,
  • relatively limited in ingredients,
  • and free from many common fillers and plant-heavy ingredients found in other foods.

Our recipe includes chicken with bone, chicken liver, chicken heart, egg, pumpkin, fish oil, and a small number of functional ingredients and essential nutrients.

However, every IBD cat is different. Some do wonderfully on simple chicken-based diets, while others may have sensitivities even to chicken or richer proteins. Since IBD can vary so much from cat to cat, we always recommend introducing any new food very slowly and checking with your veterinarian if your cat has active GI symptoms or a complex medical history..

You'll find23 to 25 pucks in every bag 👀. While we provide a detailed guideline on the back of the bag for feeding Puckin' Crazy Chicken Feast as a complete meal, remember that the actual amount your cat needs depends on their unique metabolism and activity level—especially how many times they get the 'zoomies'! Always adjust the portion size based on your cat's weight and energy needs.

We use a careful, modern safety process called cold pasteurization to help keep Puckin’ Crazy Chicken Feast safe—without compromising its raw nutrition.

Instead of using high heat (which can damage important enzymes and vitamins), cold pasteurization uses a precise form of energy to reduce harmful pathogens. Think of it as an added safety shield that protects your cat while keeping the food raw and nutrient-rich.

Here’s why we chose cold pasteurization:

  • No heat, all the nutrition: The food stays truly raw, preserving the natural
enzymes and nutrients cats thrive on.
  • No chemicals: We don’t rely on preservatives or synthetic additives to
    keep the food safe.
  • Electricity, not radiation:The process uses electricity—not radioactive
materials—and leaves the nutritional quality of the food unchanged.

The result is food that stays raw, wholesome, and full of flavor—while meeting the highest safety standards available for freeze-dried raw cat food.

Our food is truly freeze-dried raw and never cooked, meaning no heat is used at any stage. This preserves the integrity and delicate nutrients of the raw ingredients. To maintain safety without compromising nutrition, the food undergoes a gentle process known as cold pasteurization.

Yes, we absolutely meet AAFCO standards! Our Puckin' Crazy Chicken Feast is
formulated to exceed the nutritional requirements established by AAFCO for all life stages of cats. This means your feline friend gets 100% complete and balanced nutrition from our food alone.

We understand why this is an important question. While no food can ever be guaranteed to be completely risk-free, we take every possible step to keep your cat’s food safe.

In addition, our raw chicken is sourced from USDA-inspected facilities and undergoes a gentle food safety intervention process called cold pasteurization designed to significantly reduce potential pathogens, including viruses and bacteria while preserving the nutritional benefits of raw food.

While no food manufacturer can guarantee the complete absence of every possible pathogen, food safety is a top priority for us, and multiple safeguards are built into our sourcing and production processes.

We understand the concerns many raw feeders have regarding HPAI and encourage pet parents to make the feeding decisions that are best for their individual cats and comfort level. We're always happy to answer questions about our ingredients and manufacturing processes. 🐾❤️

We always encourage open communication with your veterinary team! Since your vet
has a detailed understanding of your cat’s unique health history—including any known
allergies, kidney issues, or chronic conditions—they are the best resource for
personalized diet changes.

We believe cat parents deserve clear answers about what's in their cat's food. The natural flavor used in our recipe is porcine plasma, an animal-derived ingredient commonly used in pet foods to enhance palatability. It does not contain maltodextrin, and no artificial flavors are added.

Natural flavors are included to help make the food more appealing to cats. They are not added to increase the nutritional value of the recipe, but rather to encourage cats to enjoy and readily accept the food.

Because cats can be selective eaters, carefully chosen animal-based flavor ingredients help support palatability while keeping the focus on the high-quality animal ingredients that make up the foundation of our recipe.

We strongly recommend checking our ingredient list against any known allergies your cat has. Our food is high-quality, but if you have any lingering concerns or questions about a specific health condition, please feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team at support@crazygoodcatfood.com for more clarity.

The fish oil used in our recipe is herring oil in approximately 99% of production runs. However, the ingredient is labeled simply as "fish oil" because an alternative fish oil source may occasionally be used to maintain continuity of supply if herring oil becomes temporarily unavailable.

As for fish allergies, it's important to understand that food allergies are typically triggered by proteins, not purified oils or fats. According to our manufacturer, the fish oil used in our recipe is a highly refined oil that does not contain detectable fish protein.

Because fish oil contains beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and little to no protein material, it is generally not considered a trigger for pets with fish protein sensitivities. However, every cat is unique, so if your cat has a known fish allergy or a history of severe food sensitivities, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before introducing any new food.

Absolutely, and it’s especially beneficial for senior cats! When our freeze-dried pucks are rehydrated, the increased moisture content provides crucial support for kidney health and urinary function, which becomes increasingly vital as cats age. Additionally, the food retains its natural essential fatty acids (Omegas), which are vital for supple joints, better mobility, and a shiny coat—all of which directly contribute to your senior cat's vitality and comfort.

Yes - it could be a delicious, highly nutritious training reward or a savory
meal topper for dogs to boost their protein and Omega-3 intake. Just make sure
your dog's primary diet remains a complete and balanced food formulated for
canines.

One serving of our Puckin’ Crazy Chicken Feast (2 pucks) contains approximately 400 mg of phosphorus. This works out to about 570 mg of phosphorus per 100 calories.

Because of this, our food is formulated for healthy cats and is not considered a low-phosphorus (renal) diet. For cats with kidney disease, veterinarians typically recommend foods that are lower in phosphorus than our complete formula provides.

That said, some caregivers choose to use our food as a topper — for example, crumbled over a vet-recommended kidney diet — to add flavor and encourage eating. If used this way, it’s best to keep portions small and
always follow your veterinarian’s guidance.

Every cat’s needs are a little different depending on the stage of kidney disease, so we always encourage checking with your vet if you’re unsure what’s best for your kitty.

AFTER YOUR ORDER

It's prep time! Here’s how you can serve up some carnivore gold:

  1. Operation Crumble:Smash a few pucks into a bowl.
  2. Hydration Station: Add lukewarm water to create a nutritious, meow-gical gravy.
  3. The Slow Sell: Transition slowly to raw over 7–10 days (don't rush royalty—
    gradual change prevents tummy upset).
  4. Bribery Works: Use dry puck bits as high-value treats for instant loyalty and
    introduction to the flavor.
  5. Wash Up: Remember to wash the bowl and your hands after handling raw food.
  • Unopened - Store the sealed bag in a cool, dry place until the best-by date (typically up to 2 years).

  • Opened - Once opened, we recommend using our Puckin’ Crazy Chicken Feast within 30 days. Always reseal the bag tightly using the zipper closure and store it in a cool, dry place, away from heat or direct sunlight. Because our food is freeze-dried and made without artificial preservatives, the natural fats can gradually oxidize when exposed to air. This may cause the taste to become less fresh, and some sensitive cats might not tolerate it as well after that period.

Since our cat food is freeze-dried raw, it has a fantastic, natural shelf life!

  • Unopened:An uncompromised, sealed bag of CatCrazy Puckin' Crazy Chicken Feast is guaranteed fresh for 2 years from the date of manufacture. This exceptional stability is due to our freeze-drying process and the use of natural Mixed Tocopherols(Vitamin E) to keep the healthy fats stable.
  • Opened: We recommend using the food within 30 days of opening. Although freeze-dried food is stable, we want you to maintain maximum flavor and potency—especially the crucial Omega-3s from the fish oil.

We completely understand that some cats have very particular tastes! That's why we offer a "Picky Eater Promise" on your very first bag. Switching to any new food takes time and patience—you must mix our food with your cat's current food over 7 to 10 days, slowly phasing out the old diet. If, after a proper transition, your cat is still not enjoying the food, please contact our support team within 30 days of purchase, and we will be happy to assist you with a solution.

We work fast to get the feast to your felines! All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Once shipped, our standard delivery typically takes 5-7 business days to arrive. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order is out the door!
